The Lunenburg boys’ basketball team will have to wait at least one more night to qualify for the Central Mass. district tournament after falling to host Bromfield on Monday night 38 –37.

The Lunenburg High School girls’ basketball team hit the road Thursday night for a date with Gardner High School in a key Mid-Wach C battle.

The Lunenburg/Ayer hockey team is off to a slow start this winter but the Blue Knights and its coaching staff is optimistic that they can still turn things around.

While the Lunenburg High School winter sports teams have yet to begin playing games, the Lunenburg Junior Basketball League was in action this past weekend.

The winter months may be looming but that doesn’t mean locals can’t work on their baseball skills just because the weather turns colder.

Their seasons may not have ended the way they wanted them, but both the Lunenburg High School Girls’ Field Hockey team and the Girls’ Soccer Team certainly aren’t hanging heads.

The Lunenburg Bengals 5th grade squad has had a season to remember in 2011.
