Bus fees on the table for Early Learning students

At last Wednesday's School Committee meeting, Superintendent Loxi-Jo Calmes expressed interest in keeping a bus fee in place for the Early Learning program at TC Passios. The Early Learning program is open to children aged 4 and older and to those enrolled in preschool.

Superintendent Loxi-Jo Calmes of the Lunenburg Public Schools was informed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education of an upcoming Coordinated Program Review that will be taking place this school year.
Horticulture is in, but will need more green to continue

The Lunenburg High School's Horticulture program was a near victim of the town's recent budget cuts. Following the announcement at last May's senior awards ceremony that the program was being cut from the curriculum, there was a flurry of activity during which LHS Horticulture Teacher Dawn Gearin applied to both statewide and New England-based entities for grant money but came up empty handed.
