ICED BERRIES

Taken on Hollis Road at my next door neighbor's.  To me, it was winter beauty among all of the devastation; and you can see the thickness of the ice. - Shirley Brake, Lunenburg

WIDESPREAD DESTRUCTION

1211icestormdame.jpg

On Friday, Dec. 12 at 6:50 a.m. I came out of my house to find a tree limb through my windshield. I backed out of my driveway, attempted to go down Gibson Street and trees were across the road. I turned around and attempted to go up Gibson, but trees and a telephone pole were down. I pulled back in my driveway and called work only to find out how widespread the destruction was. We had no power for 10 long days (just ask my wife.) - Edward Dame

I like the iced berries, simple and beautiful.  They look like they should be on a wreath or in a punch bowl.
