Pauline Anne (Reagan) Maynard, 83

    Pauline Anne (Reagan) Maynard, a longtime Fitchburg resident, died Monday, January 30, in the University of Massachusetts/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.


    Her husband of 43 years, Walter A. Maynard, died in 1993.


    She leaves her children, Mark S. Maynard, and his wife, Kathleen O’Brien of Worcester, Joanne Maynard, and her husband, Harvey Botman of Lexington, Jill Maynard of Worcester, Kevin P. Maynard, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth,  Martin N. Maynard, Michael J. Maynard, Amy J. Maynard, and her husband, John Ginnity, all of Fitchburg and Tara A. Doheny, and her husband, Brian, of Lunenburg; her grandchildren, Caitlin and Timothy Maynard, Anya Botman, Kevin Anthony Maynard, Nicholas Maynard, William Maynard, Ellyse and Bridgette Maynard, Michael and Patrick Ginnity and her step-grandchildren, Brian and John Ginnity, Eamon and Abaigeal Doheny and her great granddaughter, Alyson Maynard.  She was predeceased by one sister, Mary Powers of Hartford, Ct.


    Mrs. Maynard was a 1945 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Fall River and moved to Fitchburg to attend college and nursing school.  She graduated from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and went on to work for many years as a registered nurse.  She obtained her Master of Art Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1984 from Anna Maria College and worked at the Herbert Lipton Center in Fitchburg as a psychiatric nurse.


    She was born in Fall River, on February 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Paul J., and Mary A. (Hickey) Reagan.


    Family and friends are invited to celebrate her Funeral Mass on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 North Main St. in Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg. There are no calling hours.


    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hydrocephalus Association, 870 Market St., Suite 705, San Francisco, CA 94102.


    The Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 243 Water St., Fitchburg, is directing Funeral arrangements.
