Times they are a’changing and The Lunenburg Ledger is committed to change in order to meet the diverse needs of our readers.
As of this week, we will now be offering our subscribers a new service. If you would like your Lunenburg Ledger newspaper emailed to you every week, all you have to do is sign up on our Web site, lunenburgledger.com. Simply click on Subscriptions link, give us your email address and pay. We use Paypal for this service. If you don’t want to use Paypal you can contact our office and pay us directly - cash, check or credit card. Digital subscriptions are under $20/year.
Digital subscribers will get The Lunenburg Ledger emailed to them every week. We will send you a pdf file, which is the same file format we send to our printer. You must pay for your subscription to access the newspaper file. You also need to have Acrobat Reader, which you can download for free if you don’t already have it.
You may want to give the digital form of the Ledger as a gift. Wherever there is a valid email address we can email the paper. If you have any questions please call the office at (978) 582-8200.
Obituary listings are a free service
This issue contains a lot of obituaries and I would like to remind our readers that this is a free service. We will continue to print these notices for free along with a picture.
We have run into problems with local funeral homes that do not provide us with Lunenburg obituary information. One funeral home director this week wrongly assumed that our staff lifted our obituary listings from a daily newspaper. The obituary listings you see in the Ledger each week are sent to us by participating funeral homes and by residents.
If you would like a Lunenburg obituary to appear in the paper, please emphasize the importance of emailing us directly when you are making arrangements with funeral homes, or email us the obituary information and accompanying photographs yourself. Obituary information should be sent to dgink@verizon.net.We also post all of our obituaries Online at lunenburgledger.com
