LHS alum puts skills and drive to work at Anna Maria

Lunenburg High School alum Kaitlyn Patno has finally found a home.
The 2011 graduate and former Blue Knights basketball standout is fitting in nicely at Anna Maria College in Paxton but it’s been an interesting journey to get to this point.
“I’m happy where I am right now,” said Patno. “Things didn’t work out at Lasell College for me but since going to Anna Maria things have been great.”
Following a successful career at Lunenburg High School where she was a member of the basketball program all four years, including the final three at the varsity level, Patno elected to take her talents to Lasell College in Newton to play basketball and major in Psychology.
During her four years at Lunenburg, Patno credits current Fitchburg State University assistant coach Barry Call for helping her develop her fundamental skills and mold her into the player she is today. Call was the Blue Knights’ girls’ varsity basketball head coach for Patno’s freshmen and sophomore year.
“Coach Call developed me into the player I am today. Coach Bob Dalton took over and coached me my junior and senior year and I thought did a great job also,” said Patno. “My senior year was a memorable one. I was honored to be named a captain and we made a pretty deep run into the postseason. My time at Lunenburg was definitely a success.”
