Jason Montgomery Rodgers, 40, of Fitchburg, died suddenly in his home on Thursday, July 15, 2010.
The son of David W. and Karen (Ganong) Rodgers, Jason was born on January 20, 1970 in Fitchburg, MA. Jason was a graduate of Lunenburg High School. After high school he took a Post Graduate year at Avon Old Farm School, Avon CT. He held a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Nichols College, Dudley MA, graduating in 1994.
Jason worked for Netstal Plastic Injecting Mold Machine CO from 1995-1998. In 1998 he moved to Colorado with Husky Injection Molding Systems of Bolton, Ontario till 2000.
He is survived by his parents, David and Karen Rodgers of Lunenburg, MA, his sister, Torri Rodgers and her husband Thomas Mason, and his nephew, Jack Thomas Rodgers Mason of Fitchburg, as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jason cared so much about his family, his friends and their families. Jason was a very intelligent, humble and caring soul as his close friends knew. Very quietly and not telling a soul, he would often offer his help to people in many ways. Jason was well read in so many fields and his knowledge often took his family by surprise, current events, world history, the bible, documentaries and the list goes on.
Jason was injured in a football game during his junior year of high school. Over a period of time this injury developed into a serious case of TMJ. Jason was just starting his career in Colorado as a sales manager when he began having more difficulty with his jaw locking and experiencing severe facial pain. It was suggested that he have surgery to hopefully correct this debilitating injury.
After more surgery and living with pain from the nerve damage, it was determined that he could no longer work and was put on full disability. In 2000, Jason moved back to this area from Colorado.
Jason, you will be greatly missed by everyone who knew you, for your humble ways, your thoughtfulness and your fantastic sense of humor that was always bright and well-timed. "Jas, you are the best!" (aka J or Bud or Dr. J)
