Vincent Tetreault, 31, a fugitive from Rhode Island who had been living with his girlfriend in an apartment at 136 Lancaster Avenue in Lunenburg, was arrested Friday night on numerous charges including choking his girlfriend, Kerri McNeil.
According to police reports, Tetreault is also being accused of grabbing McNeil’s cat by the tail and tossing it down the hallway during a domestic altercation and for growing marijuana in the apartment.
According to Lunenburg Police Chief Dan Bourgeois, police received a 911 cell phone call from a friend of McNeil requesting that police go to the Lancaster Avenue apartment. McNeil reportedly sent a text message to her friend asking the woman to contact the police on her behalf to help deal with a situation between herself and Tetreault. The friend told police that McNeil has had a volatile history with her boyfriend, Tetreault.
According to reports, two police officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim. McNeil alleged that Tetreault choked her and that he had thrown her cat up against a wall. She then said he grabbed the cat by the tail and threw it 15 feet down a hallway.
